The general understanding of life is that it's the time period between birth and death..
How you spend this time decides type of your life.
1. The Angel life : If your life is dedicated for welfare of society/world and you don't bother about small petty desires, you are an angel.
2. The Human life : If you care about your family, job, worldly pleasures and want to do spiritual progress also, you are living a human life .
3. The Animal life : If your life is spent in just running after desires without any understanding of God or Self, you are an animal. Shame on you.
4. The Demon life : If you don't put any effort for material or spiritual gain and live like a parasite, you are a demon. Your place is in hell/jail/mental hospital.
